TAP is a new plug-in and the only one in the market able to align tracks automatically, in real-time, without any learning steps or tricky adjustments.
TAP is powered by a sample accurate detection DSP driving a simple delay and a polarity inverter, thus preserving audio samples, able to cancel undesired comb-filter effect without the limitations and drawbacks of traditional phase correction.
TAP is able to align tracks since the first audio sample, and because no learning steps and no adjustments are required, it's even able to align different audio parts on the same track with different time offsets.
TAP is looking at each sample of input audio and determines its relative position with the side-chain reference track, instead of only aligning first audio transient like every audio engineer would do to save time.
TAP is the first and only one plug-in in the market to align tracks in realtime and continuous processing.
Nor learning step, nor tuning step are required. Alignment is fully automatic thanks to TAP's powerful decision engine.
Alignment is sample accurate since the first sample.
TAP displays comb filter pattern (phase) and provides useful metering of comb input level and output reduction for accurate diagnostic and processing monitoring.
Status icon displays effect state (active or bypass) as well as side-chain bus presence.
TAP reports audio activity on input, side-chain and output bus for clear configuration and monitoring.
TAP is packed in a very small footprint allowing to setup multiple tracks alignment on one screen.
Professional musicians and engineers do not required to spend time any more in aligning tracks from several source to reach their sound.
Track alignment is very important in many situations, for example in 2 mics or mic + di mixing, in parallel processing...
Testing conducted by Advanced AudioWaves in July 2014 using MacBook Pro 15-inch mid-2009, 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 Go 1067 MHz DDR3. Baseline is evaluated using an alternative algorithm based on FFTS. Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance.
