Advanced AudioWaves

Support

Host Applications

AAW Plug-Ins are compatible with AAX2/AU/VST3 host applications, and are widely used with a variety of major DAW software.

However, due to plug-in host differences between DAWs - and our own rigorous testing standards - Advanced AudioWaves only officially tests and qualifies the latest plug-in versions with:

AAX2

Avid Pro Tools 11.x.x, 12.x.x

AU

Ableton Live 9.x.x
Apple Logic Pro X 10.x.x
Presonus Studio One 2.6.x, 3.x.x

VST3

Presonus Studio One 2.6.x, 3.x.x
Steinberg Cubase 6.5.x, 7.x.x, 8.x.x
Steinberg Nuendo 5.5.x, 6.x.x, 7.x.x

Disclaimer : Track Align Pro plug-in requires sample accurate side chain bus in order to align track correctly (it makes sense !). Some DAW hosts have some limitations:

  • Avid Pro Tools 11.x.x, 12.x.x : AAE (Avid Audio Engine) ensures that first side chain tap is sample accurate. TAP should always be linked with the first side chain of your track.
  • Apple Logic Pro X 10.x.x : although Track Align Pro plug-in is ready and fully validated for Logic, unfortunately side chain bus isn't sample accurate up to latest version (10.1.1) so TAP cannot be used for this reason. Apple is aware of this limitation and will correct it in a future version.
  • Steinberg Nuendo 6.x.x, Cubase 7.x.x : with the introduction of Asio-Guard, Steinberg broke sample accurate side chain bus when Asio-Guard is enabled under certain conditions. We recommend you disable Asio-Guard in last column in Devices/Plug-in Information/VST Plug-ins for Track Align Pro (for example Cubase 7.5.1 TAP works correctly either with or without Asio-Guard)

Frequently Asked Question

Q: If my DAW is not on the “qualified” list, does this mean that my DAW is not supported ?

A: Generally any compliant host application should work with Advanced AudioWaves plug-ins. That said, if you are experiencing issues with your plug-in on a DAW that we don’t list as “qualified”, you can still contact our support and log the issue with us. We will work with DAW manufacturer to understand why an issue is occurring — whether we list the DAW as officially “qualified” or not.

Q: How do I install plug-in ?

A: Simply run the installer, and follow the instructions.

Q: How do I activate plug-in ?

A: It differs whether you’re connected to the internet or not :

Q: Will Advanced AudioWaves plug-ins be available as other formats and on other DAWs ?

A: Track Align Pro requires some specifications either on the plug-in side, either on the DAW side. AAX2, AU & VST3 were the most obvious plugin format offering these requirements, but we are constantly testing some prototypes on other formats and others DAWs.
At this time, Advanced AudioWaves cannot state about the future support of other plug-in formats.

Q: Will Advanced AudioWaves plug-ins be available on PC platform ?

A: We already have Track Align Pro plug-in in very advanced development state for PC. However we have to fully validate and qualify it on this platform.
At this time, Advanced AudioWaves cannot state about the future availability on PC platform.
